The story of the space grey MacBook

I decided long before the new MacBook pros were out I couldn’t wait any longer and just got the very best spec MacBook. Sure it isn’t a workhorse vs the MacBook Pro, but I really won’t be using it that much.  I have another dedicated machine I use for everyday work. I’ve had it for a couple of months now and I really have enjoyed it. I didn’t think I would like the keyboard, but it’s ok for browsing and doing light stuff… If I need to use the laptop to do work then I usually carry a bluetooth mouse and keyboard with me. I do mostly only coding work on it so the laptop actual fairs quite well for that.

I also like the portability of the computer as it’s super thin and light. I really don’t like the idea of all the dongles, but so far I haven’t had to use any. Though I would love to set it up with a monitor at some point to use it as a second machine for simple tasks at the office.

Waiting on Forever

It has almost been 10 years since I’ve had a new laptop. 10 years is about the normal time span I wait to buy new computers. My old laptop has been failing for sometime now, but I’ve holding out waiting  on Apple to upgrade the MacBook Pro series.  Since I can’t wait forever for the release I think I will go with a MacBook for now. I like everything about the computer except for just having one USB-C port and the fact you have to use dongles for everything. Actually I’ve have always had iBooks and MacBooks so this wouldn’t be my first one. I would be upgrading from a Mid 2007 ( white) MacBook to a new Space Gray MacBook. Just don’t know yet which spec I will go with.

To MacBook or To Not MacBook

I have been looking to get a new laptop. The one I have now is pushing the 10 year mark… So it’s slow and old…I have been considering getting a new MacBook to replace my current old Macbook. I don’t know I should just wait till WWDC to see if they announce a new Macbook Pro….
